About Carriage Bolts
Carriage bolts (coach bolts) use a domed mushroom head and a square section directly under the head that bites into the mating material — typically timber, but also slotted steel framing and conveyor structures — so the bolt can't spin while the nut is tightened from the other side. Kesharia stocks carbon steel carriage bolts in grades 4.8, 5.8, 6.8 and 8.8, in metric diameters from 5mm to 20mm and imperial 1/4" to 3/4", with lengths from 15mm to 300mm (1/2" to 12"), across MM, UNC, UNF and BSW thread forms. Bolts are supplied to DIN 603, ISO 8677 and ANSI dimensional standards, with plain, zinc, black, nickel, chrome and hot-dip galvanized finish options for indoor, outdoor and corrosive-environment use.
