About Washers
Washers distribute clamping load, protect the mating surface from the fastener head, and — in the spring variant — maintain preload under vibration. Kesharia stocks flat washers to DIN 125A and spring (split lock) washers to DIN 127B across the metric M6 to M64 range, plus imperial 1/4" to 2-1/2" flat and spring washers to DIN 9021, DIN 7989, DIN 444, ASME F436M, ASME B18.2.6 and ASTM F436 — the last two being the standard washer specifications called up alongside ASTM A325/A490 structural bolting. Material options are carbon steel, stainless steel and brass, in self colour, black, zinc plated, YZP or hot-dip galvanized finishes — matched to the bolt and nut grade in the same assembly.
